It’s happening! Brewers and assorted brewery professionals will be gathering — in-person — from across the country this week in Denver for the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America. For anyone out there making the trip (and maybe especially for those of you staying home) we put a call out to the exhibitors to tell us what new and interesting products and services they’ll be promoting at the show. Here is what we found, in order by booth number, to help guide you around the trade show floor. Stay safe, everyone!

Crosby Hops | Lounge First floor, (1B) by the Blue Bear | Booth location: 4743

It’s been a long year so let Crosby Hops pour you a beer! Stop by the Crosby Hops lounge to sample rotating beers brewed with new-wave and classic hop varieties, conduct a personalized hop sensory experience, and catch up with industry friends. There’s something about CBC that makes us want to give away cool stuff, too. Download exclusive content and get in on the chance to win 44 lbs. of Strata® or a Crosby Hops skateboard.

THIELMANN‘s containers include all standard U.S. beverage kegs, and aseptic IBCs with 264 gal capacity for fermentation, carbonation, and yeast propagation. All can be branded up, and short lead times can be catered for with kegs and aseptic containers. THIELMANN takes pride in its kegs, producing containers of the highest quality materials,  delivering unrivaled hygiene standards, protection for the beer they contain from UV light,  pollution particles, and corrosion – and they are built to last a lifetime. Whether you’re a brewer or any other industry professional, speak to one of their representatives about what THIELMANN can bring to your operation. Or, if you have a bespoke project in mind, their team will be on hand to discuss the proposal.

A trusted supplier to the brewing industry since 1924, Gusmer Enterprises is excited to exhibit at 2021 CBC. Here’s what you’ll find at the booth this year.

The new COOL-FIT® PE Plus pre-insulated polyethylene piping system from GF Piping Systems is the next evolution of the COOL-FIT product line. Offering a technological leap in process cooling, this new system builds on the excellent performance of its predecessor by providing, significantly reduced maintenance and operational costs, and faster installation time. The system is not only ideal for food and beverage production such as dairies, fruit and vegetable processors, slaughterhouses, breweries and wineries, but also pharmaceutical production, refrigerated storage facilities and data centers.

COOL-FIT PE Plus includes a complete range of pre-insulated pipes, fittings, and valves that efficiently convey brine, glycol, ethanol, and chilled water in temperatures from -58°F to 140°F (-50°C to 60°C).  All surfaces are sealed, vapor tight and 100% UV-resistant. The system is 100% maintenance-free and will not corrode over time. These characteristics reduce expensive operation interruptions and maintenance.

Tonejet launched its Cyclone C4+ direct digital can decorator in September this year, with beta trials under way with a lead customer in Canada, a second system due to ship later in 2021 and more on order. The C4+ uses a longer variant of Tonejet’s unique printhead, enabling it to decorate can formats up to 16oz/473ml. The Cyclone C4+ is built on the same platform as the C4 which preceded it, with a long list of updates including a new user interface, simplified ink refills and active adaptable can handling which permits rapid changeovers between can sizes.

Alongside this, Tonejet released a new Bright White primer fluid, allowing its customers to produce outstanding high contrast images with brighter whites than could previously be achieved with factory-supplied white cans. Tonejet Bright White primer achieves the same results whether used with brite or white cans, meaning that Tonejet’s customers no longer need to purchase blank white cans and can standardize on brites.

Thermal Care will feature its Accuchiller KSE series outdoor chillers, ideal for brewery applications that have limited indoor square footage. KSE chillers are fully packaged, integral air-cooled outdoor units manufactured to work in the harshest weather environments. Energy saving variable speed EC fans allow the chiller to withstand ambient conditions from -20°F to 125°F. The process fluid circuit allows for more flexibility with a standard set point temperature range from 20°F to 80°F. Units include completely independent fluid and refrigeration circuits for built-in backup and come with or without integrated pumping packages in either low or high pressure designs and with an optional redundant standby pump. A highlight of KSE chillers is the advanced outdoor PLC control system with ModBus TCP/IP & RTU and a 7-inch color touch screen. KSE chillers are available from 40 to 720 tons in a combined system. Thermal Care also offers a proven line of smaller outdoor packaged chillers available from 4 to 30 tons.

Founded in 1925 in Germany, Festo is today a supplier of brewing, beverage packaging, and end of line packaging automation. Festo is showcasing its innovative remote I/O system CPX-AP-I, which is IP65/67 rated. CPX-AP-I enables new automated capabilities to be quickly, and cost effectively added in the brewhouse or packaging room without the time and expense of installing control cabinets. Additionally, this remote I/O system can increase response time in pneumatic systems by moving valves closer to the process. Faster response means higher system performance. CPX-AP-I makes it easy to apply the new open standard IO-Link intelligent sensors that offer a wide range of operational advantages, including cloud-based predictive analytics. Visitors to the booth will be given a preview of a new can-seam inspection system that dramatically lowers the cost of automated inspection, reduces waste on the canning line, and improves overall throughput.

LumiStar 1000 is the world’s brightest compact sight glass luminaire: it is two times brighter than a typical sight glass light, offering an unprecedented view of processes. Ultra-bright LED provides 1000 lumens at full brightness, two times the light output than a typical 100-Watt halogen light. The total internal reflection (TIR) lens with 23-degree beam angle, is ideal for vessel illumination through a sight glass with maximum light output and less than 5% loss of light output. The light is capable of continuous operation and emits cool white, 5500K color temperature, optimized for stainless steel vessels. The light is designed for cool operation equipped with temperature-based current limiting and automatic dimming; over temperature shutdown. The LEDs have a long service life and are vibration and impact resistant. No heat radiation is directed into the process vessel (cold light output). The housing is available with a mounting bracket (USL13 Light) or a sanitary clamp connection (USL33 Light).

Precision Fermentation announced an update to its flagship Internet of Things (IoT)-driven fermentation monitoring solution, the BrewMonitor System. This release provides major advancements in the transformation of raw data into actionable fermentation performance insight that is designed to help brewers make critical production decisions and prevent problems more rapidly than has ever before been possible. Leveraging the power of automatic sampling and comprehensive in-tank data, BrewMonitor 2.5 offers an array of new views and instant analytics that streamline time-consuming, manual quality checks and calculations – reducing the effort required to achieve product goals and on-target batch-to-batch consistency, for brewing companies of all types.

“The new features in BrewMonitor System 2.5 definitively address two of the most critical aspects of brewing quality assurance,” said Jared Resnick, founder and CEO of Precision Fermentation. “The first is faster access to the most crucial day-to-day fermentation data. The new BrewMonitor Console dashboard was developed with extensive customer feedback, as we wanted to be sure we were hitting the mark with the exact information that brewers, QA personnel, and business owners need – on-demand and with as little friction as possible.”
